Matrix Reimprinting is a highly effective method for working with painful memories that evolved from Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping).
We carry the impact of past negative events in our minds, bodies and energy systems.
We also develop false, self-limiting beliefs (negative learning) from these distressing events. Matrix Reimprinting provides a way for you to gently and safely re-visit the past event with resources that weren’t available to you at the time so that you can release the negative learning and emotional charge around the memory. You are then guided to imprint new positive learning and healing emotions in your mind, body and energy system.
When we experience a scary, painful, or overwhelming event, a part of us may split off so that we can cope and carry on with our lives.
This split-off part, or younger self, carries the painful feelings from the event and is isolated and frozen in time. The old feelings are buried in our bodies, in our subconscious and in our energy fields, and adversely affect our emotional and physical health. The negative beliefs we developed from the event continue to limit us in life, even if those beliefs are unconscious.
Here are just a few examples of negative beliefs that you might have developed as a result of painful past experiences:
- I’m not lovable
- I’m bad
- I don’t deserve to be happy
- It’s not OK to be me
- It’s not safe to speak up
Matrix Reimprinting is a safe and gentle method for your present (or “now”) self to connect with your younger self (called an ECHO) and help your ECHO navigate the negative past event in a new, positive way.
In a Matrix Reimprinting session, your younger self has the opportunity to:
- receive support and no longer feel isolated in the event
- release the old pain and negative beliefs
- open to resources that weren’t available in the past
- experience positive emotions and develop self-affirming beliefs
The new, positive experience, emotions and self-affirming beliefs that replace the negative ones are deeply imprinted in your mind, body and energy system.
